SqlDataSourceSelectingEventArgs::Arguments Property

Gets the DataSourceSelectArguments object passed to the Select method.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

public:
property DataSourceSelectArguments^ Arguments {
	DataSourceSelectArguments^ get ();
}

Property Value

Type: System.Web.UI::DataSourceSelectArguments
A DataSourceSelectArguments object, or nullptr if no DataSourceSelectArguments object is specified during SqlDataSourceSelectingEventArgs creation.

You can examine the DataSourceSelectArguments object to determine whether sorting, paging, or a row count are requested as part of the data retrieval operation.

Data-bound controls use the DataSourceSelectArguments class to request that the SqlDataSource perform additional data-related operations on a result set, such as sorting the data or returning a specific subset of data. These data-related operations are enumerated by the DataSourceCapabilities enumeration. For more information, see DataSourceSelectArguments.
