PagerSettings.PreviousPageText Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets or sets the text to display for the previous page button.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public:
property String^ PreviousPageText {
	String^ get ();
	void set (String^ value);
}
/** @property */
public String get_PreviousPageText ()

/** @property */
public void set_PreviousPageText (String value)

public function get PreviousPageText () : String

public function set PreviousPageText (value : String)

Property Value

The text to display for the previous page button. The default is "<", which renders as "<".

When the Mode property is set to the NextPreviousFirstLast or NextPrevious value, use the PreviousPageText property to specify the text to display for the previous-page button.

NoteNote

As an alternative, you can display an image for the previous-page button by setting the PreviousPageImageUrl property instead of the PreviousPageText property. If the PreviousPageImageUrl and PreviousPageText properties are both set, the image is displayed with the PreviousPageText property acting as the alternate text for the image. On browsers that support ToolTips, this text is also displayed as a ToolTip for the corresponding button.

The value of this property is stored in view state.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the PreviousPageText property to customize the text that is displayed for the previous-page button of the pager row in a GridView control.
