ObjectDataSourceView.OnFiltering Method

Raises the Filtering event before the ObjectDataSourceView object attempts a filtering operation.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnFiltering (
	ObjectDataSourceFilteringEventArgs^ e
)
protected void OnFiltering (
	ObjectDataSourceFilteringEventArgs e
)
protected function OnFiltering (
	e : ObjectDataSourceFilteringEventArgs
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

e

An ObjectDataSourceFilteringEventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Consuming Events.

The OnFiltering method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors: When overriding the OnFiltering method in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnFiltering method for the base class so that registered delegates receive the event.
