MenuEventArgs::Item Property

Gets the menu item associated with the event raised.

Type: System.Web.UI.WebControls::MenuItem
A MenuItem that represents the menu item associated with the event raised.

Use the Item property to access or modify the properties of the menu item associated with the event raised. For the MenuItemClick event, this item represents the menu item clicked by the user. For the MenuItemDataBound event, this item represents the menu item being bound to data.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the Item property to access the properties of the menu item clicked by the user. The text of the selected menu item is displayed on the page.
