MailDefinition::From Property

Gets or sets the e-mail address of the message sender.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

public:
property String^ From {
	String^ get ();
	void set (String^ value);
}

Property Value

Type: System::String
The e-mail address of the message sender. The default is Empty.

The From property contains the e-mail address of the sender of the e-mail message. If the From property is left blank, or contains an improperly formed e-mail address, the SmtpClient::Send method throws an HttpException exception and the e-mail message is not sent.
