MailDefinition.From Property

Gets or sets the e-mail address of the message sender.

Property Value

The e-mail address of the message sender. The default is Empty.

The From property contains the e-mail address of the sender of the e-mail message. If the From property is left blank, or contains an improperly formed e-mail address, the System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.Send(System.String,System.String,System.String,System.String) method throws an HttpException exception and the e-mail message is not sent.
