LoginFailureAction Enumeration

Determines the page that the user will go to when a login attempt is not successful.

public enum LoginFailureAction

Member nameDescription
RefreshRefreshes the current page so that the Login control can display an error message.
RedirectToLoginPageRedirects the user to the login page defined in the site's configuration files (Machine.config and Web.config).

The following code example demonstrates using the LoginFailureAction enumeration to set the FailureAction property to redirect the user to the login page defined in the Web.config file when a login attempt fails.
