Definition

Raises the Deleting event.

protected:
 virtual void OnDeleting(System::Web::UI::WebControls::LinqDataSourceDeleteEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnDeleting (System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinqDataSourceDeleteEventArgs e);
abstract member OnDeleting : System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinqDataSourceDeleteEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnDeleting : System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinqDataSourceDeleteEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnDeleting (e As LinqDataSourceDeleteEventArgs)

Parameters

e
LinqDataSourceDeleteEventArgs

The event data.

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information about how to handle events, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnDeleting method also enables derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When you override the OnDeleting(LinqDataSourceDeleteEventArgs) method in a derived class, make sure that you call the OnDeleting(LinqDataSourceDeleteEventArgs) method for the base class so that registered delegates receive the event.
