LinqDataSource::Delete Method
Visual Studio 2010
Performs a delete operation.
Assembly: System.Web.Extensions (in System.Web.Extensions.dll)
Parameters
- keys
- Type: System.Collections::IDictionary
The row key values for the records to be deleted.
- oldValues
- Type: System.Collections::IDictionary
The row values that are evaluated to detect data conflicts.
Typically, you do not have to call the Delete method from your code. When you use a LinqDataSource control with a data-bound control, the data-bound control will automatically call the Delete method when the user takes action to delete a record. You explicitly call the Delete method when you want to create your own process for deleting data. For example, you can call the Delete method when you want to delete a record based on an event outside the data-bound control.
Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see .NET Framework System Requirements.
