LinkButton.Click Event

Occurs when the LinkButton control is clicked.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

public event EventHandler Click
<asp:LinkButton OnClick="EventHandler" />

Implements

IButtonControl.Click

The Click event is raised when the LinkButton control is clicked. This event is commonly used when no command name is associated with the LinkButton control, as in the case of a Submit button.

For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.

The following example demonstrates how to specify and code a handler for the Click event to display a message when the LinkButton control is clicked.
