GridView.PageIndexChanged Event

Note: This event is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Occurs when one of the pager buttons is clicked, but after the GridView control handles the paging operation.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public:
event EventHandler^ PageIndexChanged {
	void add (EventHandler^ value);
	void remove (EventHandler^ value);
}
/** @event */
public void add_PageIndexChanged (EventHandler value)

/** @event */
public void remove_PageIndexChanged (EventHandler value)

JScript supports the use of events, but not the declaration of new ones.

The PageIndexChanged event is raised when one of the pager buttons is clicked, but after the GridView control handles the paging operation. This allows you to provide an event-handling method that performs a custom routine, such as a custom paging operation, whenever this event occurs.

To determine the index of the page selected by the user, use the PageIndex property of the GridView control.

For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the PageIndexChanged event to display the page number selected by the user from the pager row.

No code example is currently available or this language may not be supported.
