FormViewUpdatedEventArgs.KeepInEditMode Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the FormView control should remain in edit mode after an update operation.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public:
property bool KeepInEditMode {
	bool get ();
	void set (bool value);
}
/** @property */
public boolean get_KeepInEditMode ()

/** @property */
public void set_KeepInEditMode (boolean value)

public function get KeepInEditMode () : boolean

public function set KeepInEditMode (value : boolean)

Property Value

true to remain in edit mode after an update operation; otherwise, false. The default is false.

By default, the FormView control returns to the mode specified by the DefaultMode property after an update operation. Use the KeepInEditMode property to specify whether the FormView control should remain in edit mode. To keep the FormView control in edit mode, set this property to true.

NoteNote

This property should be used only when a situation occurs (such as an exception being raised) that requires the control to behave differently than it normally would. If the FormView control needs to remain in edit mode by default, set the DefaultMode property instead.

The following example demonstrates how to use the KeepInEditMode property to keep a FormView control in edit mode when an exception occurs.

No code example is currently available or this language may not be supported.
