EntityDataSource::EnableInsert Property
Gets or sets a value that indicates whether objects can be added through the EntityDataSource control.
Assembly: System.Web.Entity (in System.Web.Entity.dll)
public: virtual property bool EnableInsert { bool get () sealed; void set (bool value) sealed; }
<asp:EntityDataSource EnableInsert="True|False" />
Property Value
Type: System::Booleantrue if automatic insert operations are enabled; otherwise, false. The default value is false.
Implements
IDynamicDataSource::EnableInsertSelect cannot be set if the EnableInsert property is set to true.
A false value assigned to the EnableInsert property on the EntityDataSource forces the CanInsert property of the related EntityDataSourceView object to return false. When the EnableInsert property is set to false, a NotSupportedException is raised if the data-bound control calls the ExecuteInsert method on the EntityDataSourceView.
If any of the conditions for updatability are not met and the EnableInsert property is set to true, the EntityDataSource raises an exception.
