EditCommandColumn::EditText Property

Gets or sets the text to display for the Edit button in the EditCommandColumn.

The caption to display for the Edit button in the EditCommandColumn.

Use the EditText property to specify the text to display for the Edit button in the EditCommandColumn control.

NoteNote:

You must provide a value for the EditText property. Otherwise, the Edit button will not appear in the EditCommandColumn.

The value of this property is stored in view state.

The value of this property, when set, can be saved automatically to a resource file by using a designer tool. For more information, see LocalizableAttribute and ASP.NET Globalization and Localization.
