DropDownList.RaisePostDataChangedEvent Method

Raises events for the DropDownList control when postback occurs.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

protected virtual void RaisePostDataChangedEvent()

The ASP.NET page framework calls the RaisePostDataChangedEvent method on a DropDownList control when the LoadPostData method indicates that the state of the list items has changed in the DropDownList control. The RaisePostDataChangedEvent method calls the OnSelectedIndexChanged method to raise the SelectedIndexChanged event. Control developers can override the OnSelectedIndexChanged method to perform custom processing when the user selects items in the control.
