DetailsViewPageEventArgs.NewPageIndex Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets or sets the index of the new page to display in the DetailsView control.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public:
property int NewPageIndex {
	int get ();
	void set (int value);
}
/** @property */
public int get_NewPageIndex ()

/** @property */
public void set_NewPageIndex (int value)

public function get NewPageIndex () : int

public function set NewPageIndex (value : int)

Property Value

The index of the new page to display in the DetailsView control.

Because the PageIndexChanging event occurs before the DetailsView control performs the paging operation, the PageIndex property of the control contains the index of the previously displayed page and cannot be used to determine the index of the page selected by the user. Use the NewPageIndex property to determine the page index. You can also use this property to programmatically override the page index selected by the user by setting it to another value.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the NewPageIndex property to determine the index of the page selected by the user.

No code example is currently available or this language may not be supported.
