DetailsViewInsertedEventArgs.Exception Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets the exception (if any) that was raised during the insert operation.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public:
property Exception^ Exception {
	Exception^ get ();
}
/** @property */
public Exception get_Exception ()

public function get Exception () : Exception

Property Value

An Exception that represents the exception that was raised during the insert operation.

Use the Exception property to determine the exception (if any) that was raised during the insert operation. If no exceptions were raised, this property returns a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

NoteNote

If an exception was raised and you decide to handle the exception in the event handler, be sure to set the ExceptionHandled property to true; otherwise, the exception is passed to the next method on the call stack for handling.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the Exception property to determine whether an exception was raised during an insert operation.
