DetailsView.OnItemInserting Method
.NET Framework 3.0
Raises the ItemInserting event.
Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)
protected void OnItemInserting ( DetailsViewInsertEventArgs e )
protected function OnItemInserting ( e : DetailsViewInsertEventArgs )
Not applicable.
Parameters
- e
A DetailsViewInsertEventArgs that contains the event data.
The OnItemInserting method is called by the DetailsView control to raise the ItemInserting event. It is generally used by control developers when extending the DetailsView class.
The OnItemInserting method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnItemInserting in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnItemInserting method so that registered delegates receive the event.Community Additions
