DetailsView::ItemDeleted Event
Occurs when a Delete button within a DetailsView control is clicked, but after the delete operation.
Assembly: System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
The ItemDeleted event is raised when a Delete button within the DetailsView control is clicked, but after the delete operation. This allows you to provide an event handler that performs a custom routine, such as checking the results of the delete operation, whenever this event occurs.
A DetailsViewDeletedEventArgs object is passed to the event handler, which allows you to determine the number of rows affected and any exceptions that might have occurred. You can also indicate whether the exception was handled in the event handler by setting the ExceptionHandled property.
For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.
The following code example demonstrates how to use the ItemDeleted event to refresh a GridView control after a DetailsView control performs a delete operation. This keeps the GridView control synchronized with the DetailsView control.
