Property Value

The text to display in the footer row. The default is an empty string (""), which indicates that this property is not set.

Remarks

The footer row is displayed at the bottom of the DetailsView control when the FooterText or FooterTemplate property is set. Use the FooterText property to specify the text to display in the footer row. To control the style of the footer row, use the FooterStyle property. Alternatively, you can define your own custom user interface (UI) for the footer row by setting the FooterTemplate property instead of this property.

Note

If both the FooterText and FooterTemplate properties are set, the FooterTemplate property takes precedence.

The value of FooterText is stored in view state.

The value of this property, when set, can be saved automatically to a resource file by using a designer tool. For more information, see LocalizableAttribute and Globalization and Localization.
