DetailsView::DataItemCount Property
Gets the number of items in the underlying data source.
Assembly: System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
When the paging feature is enabled (by setting the AllowPaging property to true), use the DataItemCount property to determine the total number of records in the underlying data source.
Note |
|---|
Because the DetailsView control displays only one record at a time, this value also corresponds to the total number of pages required to display every record in the data source. |
To determine the index of the current record from the underlying data source, use the DataItemIndex property.
The following code example demonstrates how to use the DataItemCount property to determine the number of items in the data source. This value is used to display the page count in a Label control contained within a custom pager row.
