DataList::ShowFooter Property

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the footer section is displayed in the DataList control.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

public:
virtual property bool ShowFooter {
	bool get ();
	void set (bool value);
}
<asp:DataList ShowFooter="True|False" />

Property Value

Type: System::Boolean
true if the footer section is displayed; otherwise, false. The default value is true, however this property is only examined when the FooterTemplate property is not nullptr.

Use the ShowFooter property to specify whether the footer section is displayed in the DataList control.

You can control the appearance of the footer section by setting the FooterStyle property. The contents of the footer section are controlled by the FooterTemplate property.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the ShowFooter property to display the footer section in the DataList control.

NoteNote

The following code sample uses the single-file code model and may not work correctly if copied directly into a code-behind file. This code sample must be copied into an empty text file that has an .aspx extension. For more information on the Web Forms code model, see ASP.NET Web Page Code Model.
