DataGridPagerStyle.PrevPageText Property

Gets or sets the text displayed for the previous page button.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

[LocalizableAttribute(true)]
public:
property String^ PrevPageText {
	String^ get ();
	void set (String^ value);
}
/** @property */
public String get_PrevPageText ()

/** @property */
public void set_PrevPageText (String value)

public function get PrevPageText () : String

public function set PrevPageText (value : String)

Not applicable.

Property Value

The text to display for the previous page button. The default value is "<", which is rendered as the less than sign (<).

Use the PrevPageText property to provide custom text for the next page button. The Mode property must be set to PagerMode.NextPrev for this property to have any effect.

This property is used along with the NextPageText property to create a custom appearance for the next and previous buttons of the pager on the DataGrid control.

NoteNote:

This property does not automatically encode special characters to HTML. You need to convert special characters to the appropriate HTML value. For example, the greater than sign (>) will not automatically convert to >.

The value of this property, when set, can be saved automatically to a resource file by using a designer tool. For more information, see LocalizableAttribute and ASP.NET Globalization and Localization.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the PrevPageText property to specify custom text for the previous page navigation button of the pager element.
