DataGrid.SortCommand Event

Occurs when a column is sorted.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public:
event DataGridSortCommandEventHandler^ SortCommand {
	void add (DataGridSortCommandEventHandler^ value);
	void remove (DataGridSortCommandEventHandler^ value);
}
/** @event */
public void add_SortCommand (DataGridSortCommandEventHandler value)

/** @event */
public void remove_SortCommand (DataGridSortCommandEventHandler value)

JScript supports the use of events, but not the declaration of new ones.

The SortCommand event is raised when a column is sorted.

A typical handler for the SortCommand event sorts the list, and then rebinds the data to the DataGrid control.

For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.

The following code example demonstrates how to specify and code a handler for the SortCommand event to sort a DataGrid control.
