Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)
Use the OnItemCommand method to provide a custom handler for the ItemCommand event.
The ItemCommand event is raised when any button is clicked in the DataGrid control. This event is commonly used to handle buttons controls with a custom CommandName value, such as Add, in the DataGrid control.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.
Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnItemCommand in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnItemCommand method. For more information about handling events, see Consuming Events.Community Additions
