DataBoundControl.OnDataSourceViewChanged Method
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)
protected void OnDataSourceViewChanged ( Object sender, EventArgs e )
protected function OnDataSourceViewChanged ( sender : Object, e : EventArgs )
Parameters
- sender
The source of the event, the DataSourceView.
- e
An EventArgs that contains event data.
The OnDataSourceViewChanged method notifies a data-bound control that the underlying data source has changed and that the control should rebind and any necessary work should be performed. Typically, the OnDataSourceViewChanged method is called when a property of the data source view has changed.
The DataBoundControl class sets the RequiresDataBinding property to true when it raises the DataSourceViewChanged event.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.
The OnDataSourceViewChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors When overriding OnDataSourceViewChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnDataSourceViewChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.Windows 98, Windows 2000 SP4, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Starter Edition
