CreateUserWizard.OnCreateUserError Method

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Raises the CreateUserError event when there is a problem creating the specified user account.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnCreateUserError (
	CreateUserErrorEventArgs^ e
)
protected void OnCreateUserError (
	CreateUserErrorEventArgs e
)
protected function OnCreateUserError (
	e : CreateUserErrorEventArgs
)

Parameters

e

A CreateUserErrorEventArgs with the data for the event.

The OnCreateUserError method is called when the membership provider specified in the MembershipProvider property returns an error message from creating the specified user account. The CreateUserError property of the CreateUserErrorEventArgs object passed as the e parameter contains a MembershipCreateStatus object that contains the details of the error.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnCreateUserError method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors When overriding OnCreateUserError in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnCreateUserError method so that registered delegates receive the event.
