CompareValidator.AddAttributesToRender Method

This method supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Adds the attributes of this control to the output stream for rendering on the client.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

protected:
virtual void AddAttributesToRender (
	HtmlTextWriter^ writer

protected void AddAttributesToRender (
	HtmlTextWriter writer
)
protected override function AddAttributesToRender (
	writer : HtmlTextWriter
)
Not applicable.

A System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriter that contains the output stream for rendering on the client.

The following code example demonstrates how to override the AddAttributesToRender method in a custom server control so that the CompareValidator error message always appears in bold.

Security noteSecurity Note:

This example has a text box that accepts user input, which is a potential security threat. By default, ASP.NET Web pages validate that user input does not include script or HTML elements. For more information, see Script Exploits Overview (Visual Studio).
