Assembly: System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
Property Value
Type: System.StringThe caption for an Edit button in a CommandField. The default is "Edit".
When the ButtonType property of a CommandField object is set to ButtonType.Button or ButtonType.Link, use the EditText property to specify the text to display for an Edit button.

The value of this property, when set, can be saved automatically to a resource file by using a designer tool. For more information, see LocalizableAttribute and ASP.NET Globalization and Localization.
