CommandEventHandler Delegate

Represents the method that will handle the Command event.

Namespace:   System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

public delegate void CommandEventHandler(
	Object^ sender,
	CommandEventArgs^ e
)

Parameters

sender
Type: System::Object^

The source of the event.

e
Type: System.Web.UI.WebControls::CommandEventArgs^

A CommandEventArgs that contains the event data.

The Command event is raised when a Button, ImageButton, or LinkButton control is clicked.

When you create a CommandEventHandler delegate, you identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event handler delegates, see NIB: Events and Delegates.

The following example demonstrates how to specify and code a handler for the Command event of a Button control. This example specifies the event handler declaratively, using the OnClick property of the Button control.
