Gets or sets the number of columns to display in the CheckBoxList control.

Namespace:   System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

Public Overridable Property RepeatColumns As Integer

Property Value

Type: System.Int32

The number of columns to display in the CheckBoxList control. The default is 0, which indicates this property is not set.

Exception Condition
ArgumentOutOfRangeException

The number of columns is set to a negative value.

When the RepeatLayout property is set to Table, you can use this property to specify the number of columns that display in the CheckBoxList control. If this property is not set, the CheckBoxList control displays all list items in a single column.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the RepeatColumns property to specify that two columns are displayed in the CheckBoxList control.

The following code samples use the single-file code model and may not work correctly if copied directly into a code-behind file. Each code sample must be copied into an empty text file that has an .aspx extension. For more information on the Web Forms code model, see ASP.NET Web Forms Page Code Model.
