ChangePassword.OnChangedPassword Method
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)
The OnChangedPassword method is called after the password is changed by the membership provider specified in the MembershipProvider property. After the OnChangedPassword method is called, the following occurs:
-
If the MailDefinition property is set, the ChangePassword control attempts to send an e-mail message to the user.
-
The user is either redirected to the Web site specified in the SuccessPageUrl property or the control template specified in the SuccessTemplate property is displayed.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Server Event Handling in ASP.NET Web Pages.
The OnChangedPassword method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors When overriding the OnChangedPassword method in a derived class, be sure to call the OnChangedPassword method for the base class so that registered delegates receive the event.Windows 98, Windows 2000 SP4, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Starter Edition
The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see System Requirements.
