Property Value
The error message to display when the attempt to change the user's password is not successful. The default is "Your attempt to change passwords was unsuccessful. Please try again."The ChangePasswordFailureText property is displayed when the membership provider rejects the password entered by the user.
The MembershipProvider object does not return a reason for rejecting the new password. Use the ChangePasswordError event to examine the rejected password if you want to provide the user with a tip on how to enter an acceptable password (for example, to indicate that a strong password must be provided).
The value of this property, when set, can be saved automatically to a resource file by using a designer tool. For more information, see LocalizableAttribute and ASP.NET Globalization and Localization.
