ButtonFieldBase.CopyProperties Method

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Copies the properties of the current object that is derived from the ButtonFieldBase class to the specified DataControlField object.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

protected override void CopyProperties (
	DataControlField newField
)
protected void CopyProperties (
	DataControlField newField
)
protected override function CopyProperties (
	newField : DataControlField
)

Parameters

newField

The DataControlField to which to copy the properties of the current ButtonFieldBase.

The CopyProperties method is a helper method that is used by the DataControlField.CloneField method to copy the properties of the current object that is derived from the ButtonFieldBase class to the DataControlField object that is passed in the newField parameter.

Notes to Inheritors Control developers should override the CopyProperties method to copy any properties that are added to the custom control. When overriding the CopyProperties method in a derived class, be sure to call the CopyProperties method for the base class so that the base class properties are copied.
