BoundField.ValidateSupportsCallback Method

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Determines whether the controls contained in a BoundField object support callbacks.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public override void ValidateSupportsCallback ()
public void ValidateSupportsCallback ()
public override function ValidateSupportsCallback ()

The ValidateSupportsCallback method is a helper method used to determine whether the controls contained in a BoundField object support callbacks. This method has been implemented as an empty method (a method that does not contain any code) to indicate that callbacks are supported.

This method is used primarily by control developers.

Notes to Inheritors Classes that derive from the BoundField class can override this method to indicate whether the controls contained by the field support callbacks. To indicate that callbacks are supported, implement this method as an empty method that does not throw an exception; otherwise, throw an exception with a useful message describing why callbacks are not supported.

The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see System Requirements.
