BaseValidator.OnInit Method

This method supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Raises the Init event.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

protected public:
virtual void OnInit (
	EventArgs^ e
) override
protected void OnInit (
	EventArgs e
)
protected internal override function OnInit (
	e : EventArgs
)

Parameters

e

A System.EventArgs that contains the event data.

This method has been overridden to register the validation control on the page.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnInit method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors When overriding OnInit in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnInit method so that registered delegates receive the event.
