XhtmlTextViewAdapter::RenderElement Method

Renders the element and a subset of its text content to the client. This API is obsolete. For information about how to develop ASP.NET mobile applications, see the www.asp.net/mobile Web site.

Parameters

writer
Type: System.Web.UI.MobileControls.Adapters.XhtmlAdapters::XhtmlMobileTextWriter
An XhtmlMobileTextWriter object.
index
Type: System::Int32
An integer indicating which chunk of text is being rendered.
beginSubstring
Type: System::Int32
The starting index of the substring to render.
endSubstring
Type: System::Int32
The ending index of the substring to render. The value -1 indicates the end of the text.

The RenderElement method is called by the Render method to render the element and portion of the text to the client.

Supported in: 4, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0

Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows XP SP2 x64 Edition, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
