XhtmlPageAdapter::RenderUrlPostBackEvent Method

Creates a link on the current page to enable postback on devices that do not support postback events. This API is obsolete. For information about how to develop ASP.NET mobile applications, see the www.asp.net/mobile Web site.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.MobileControls.Adapters.XhtmlAdapters
Assembly:  System.Web.Mobile (in System.Web.Mobile.dll)

public:
virtual void RenderUrlPostBackEvent(
	XhtmlMobileTextWriter^ writer,
	String^ target,
	String^ argument
)

Parameters

writer
Type: System.Web.UI.MobileControls.Adapters.XhtmlAdapters::XhtmlMobileTextWriter
An XhtmlMobileTextWriter object that writes the link.
target
Type: System::String
The target URL for postback.
argument
Type: System::String
The name of the event for which the link is substituting.

Some devices are able to execute a postback event on a link or button only. The RenderUrlPostBackEvent method writes a link with a URL that contains all of the information that is required to process the form and to update and display the page.
