XhtmlControlAdapter::ConditionalClearCachedEndTag Method

Clears the given text writer's current end tag if certain conditions are met.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.MobileControls.Adapters.XhtmlAdapters
Assembly:  System.Web.Mobile (in System.Web.Mobile.dll)

protected:
virtual void ConditionalClearCachedEndTag(
	XhtmlMobileTextWriter^ writer,
	String^ s
)

Parameters

writer
Type: System.Web.UI.MobileControls.Adapters.XhtmlAdapters::XhtmlMobileTextWriter

The XhtmlMobileTextWriter object used to render the server control content on the client's browser.

s
Type: System::String

The name of the tag you want to clear; the value can be nullptr or an empty string ("").

This functionality is required only in the very rare case of a target device where a selected element cannot appear inside a table. If the s parameter is provided, the cached ending tag is cleared. This allows the text writer to insert content when the target device does not support <select> elements immediately after the end of a table.

This method is primarily used by the .NET Framework internally.

Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Starter Edition, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2000 SP4, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 98

The .NET Framework and .NET Compact Framework do not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see .NET Framework System Requirements.
