XhtmlControlAdapter.ConditionalClearCachedEndTag Method

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Clears the given text writer's current end tag if certain conditions are met.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.MobileControls.Adapters.XhtmlAdapters
Assembly: System.Web.Mobile (in system.web.mobile.dll)

protected:
virtual void ConditionalClearCachedEndTag (
	XhtmlMobileTextWriter^ writer,
	String^ s
)
protected void ConditionalClearCachedEndTag (
	XhtmlMobileTextWriter writer,
	String s
)
protected function ConditionalClearCachedEndTag (
	writer : XhtmlMobileTextWriter,
	s : String
)

Parameters

writer

The XhtmlMobileTextWriter object used to render the server control content on the client's browser.

s

The name of the tag you want to clear; the value can be a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) or an empty string ("").

This functionality is required only in the very rare case of a target device where a selected element cannot appear inside a table. If the s parameter is provided, the cached ending tag is cleared. This allows the text writer to insert content when the target device does not support <select> elements immediately after the end of a table.

This method is primarily used internally by the framework.
