HtmlTextWriter::SlashChar Field

Represents the slash mark (/).

Namespace:  System.Web.UI
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

public:
literal wchar_t SlashChar

Use the SlashChar field to render the slash marks when you write a URL. The WriteEndTag method uses the SlashChar field when writing the closing tag of a markup element.

The following code example demonstrates how to manually render the src attribute of an <img> element. The code example uses the Write method with the SlashChar field as its parameter to render slash marks in the path that is applied to the src attribute.

This code example renders the following markup:

src="/images/
