Assembly: System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
This method is used primarily by the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code. However, control developers can override this method to specify how a custom server control restores its view state. For more information, see ASP.NET State Management Overview.
The HtmlSelect control's view state is stored as a Triplet object. The First field of the Triplet object holds the HtmlSelect control's base view state. The Second field of the Triplet object holds the ListItemCollection collection represented by the Items property. The Third field of the Triplet object holds the selected indices represented by the SelectedIndices property. The method calls the base class's HtmlContainerControl.LoadViewState method to restore the control's base view state.
The method is used primarily by control developers extending the functionality of the HtmlSelect control.Notes to Inheritors
When overriding in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's method so that the HtmlSelect control's view state is properly managed.
