HtmlInputControl::Name Property
Gets or sets the unique identifier name for the HtmlInputControl control.
Assembly: System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
<asp:HtmlInputControl Name="String" />
Property Value
Type: System::StringA string that represents the value of the Control::UniqueID property.
Use the Name property to determine the unique identifier name for an HtmlInputControl. In this implementation, the get accessor returns the value of the Control::UniqueID property. However, the set accessor does not assign a value to this property.
Note: |
|---|
The set accessor does not assign a value to this property because the Name property must have the same value as the Control::UniqueID property for most controls to work properly. |
Classes that inherit from the HtmlInputControl class can override this implementation, if necessary.
The following code example demonstrates how to use the Name property to determine the name of the HtmlInputControl that was clicked.
Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Starter Edition, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2000 SP4, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 98
The .NET Framework and .NET Compact Framework do not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see .NET Framework System Requirements.
