HtmlForm::Render Method

Renders the HtmlForm control to the specified HtmlTextWriter object.

Parameters

Type: System.Web.UI::HtmlTextWriter
The HtmlTextWriter that receives the rendered content.

The HtmlForm control is not rendered without a reference to the Page instance.

The Render method renders an HTML <iframe> element if the SmartNavigation property is set to true. The Render method calls the base Render method.

The Render method is used primarily by control developers extending the functionality of the HtmlForm control.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding the Render method in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's Render method so that the HtmlForm control's child controls are correctly rendered.
