LoginViewDesigner::Initialize Method

Prepares the designer to view, edit, and design the associated control.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.Design.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Design (in System.Design.dll)

public:
virtual void Initialize(
	IComponent^ component
) override

Parameters

component
Type: System.ComponentModel::IComponent
A LoginView, which implements an IComponent.

Implements

IDesigner::Initialize(IComponent)

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentException

component is not a LoginView or of a class derived from LoginView.

The visual designer calls the Initialize method when it is ready to use the designer to render the LoginView control. The Initialize and its base methods configure properties and set up events that are necessary for the operation of the designer.

The component parameter is the LoginView control that is associated with this designer or a copy of the LoginView control.

The following code example shows how to override the Initialize method in a class that is inherited from the LoginViewDesigner class to change the behavior of a control that is derived from the LoginView class at design time. The example throws an ArgumentException, if the associated control is not a MyLoginView object.

No code example is currently available or this language may not be supported.
