CreateUserWizardDesigner.UsePreviewControl Property

Gets a value indicating whether the designer uses the CreateUserWizard control itself to generate the design-time HTML or uses a temporarily created copy.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.Design.WebControls
Assembly: System.Design (in system.design.dll)

protected:
virtual property bool UsePreviewControl {
	bool get () override;
}
/** @property */
protected boolean get_UsePreviewControl ()

protected override function get UsePreviewControl () : boolean

Not applicable.

Property Value

Always true.

When the value of the UsePreviewControl property is true, the designer uses a temporary copy of the wizard control to generate the design-time HTML; when the value of UsePreviewControl is false, the designer uses the wizard control itself to generate the design-time HTML.

The value of UsePreviewControl modifies the return value of the designer's ViewControl property. When UsePreviewControl is true, ViewControl returns a copy of the wizard control. When UsePreviewControl is false, ViewControl returns the wizard control itself.

If the wizard control is marked with a class-level SupportsPreviewControlAttribute attribute, the SupportsPreviewControlAttribute is ignored, because the value of UsePreviewControl is always true.

Notes to Implementers: You can override the UsePreviewControl property to return false or to determine its value based on whether the wizard control is marked with a class-level SupportsPreviewControlAttribute. If the UsePreviewControl is not overridden, the designer ignores the SupportsPreviewControlAttribute.
