BulletedListDesigner.PostFilterEvents Method

Allows the designer to filter the set of events that the associated control will expose at design time.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.Design.WebControls
Assembly: System.Design (in system.design.dll)

protected:
virtual void PostFilterEvents (
	IDictionary^ events
) override
protected void PostFilterEvents (
	IDictionary events
)
protected override function PostFilterEvents (
	events : IDictionary
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

events

The IDictionary that contains the EventDescriptor objects representing the events of the control. The keys in the IDictionary are event names.

Control designers use methods that are derived from the ComponentDesigner.PostFilterEvents method to filter the set of events that the control it is designing will expose through the TypeDescriptor object.

For the BulletedList control, the PostFilterEvents method removes the SelectedIndexChanged event from the list that is exposed by the designer.

The keys in the IDictionary interface are the names of the events. The values in the IDictionary are objects of type EventDescriptor.

Notes to Inheritors: Overriding the PostFilterEvents method provides a way to change or remove items within the dictionary of events that are exposed by the designer for this control. You can directly filter the dictionary that is accessible through the events parameter, or you can leave it unchanged. If you are overriding the PostFilterEvents method, call the base implementation after you perform your own filtering.
