BaseDataBoundControlDesigner::DataBind Method

When overridden in a derived class, performs the necessary actions to set up the associated control that is derived from the BaseDataBoundControl class.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.Design.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Design (in System.Design.dll)

protected:
virtual void DataBind(
	BaseDataBoundControl^ dataBoundControl
) abstract

Parameters

dataBoundControl
Type: System.Web.UI.WebControls::BaseDataBoundControl

The BaseDataBoundControl with which this designer is associated.

When you override the DataBind method in a designer that is derived from the BaseDataBoundControlDesigner class, perform the necessary actions to set up the data-bound control so that when the design-time markup is retrieved, the control renders properly. Typically, you will associate a design-time data source rather than the live data source, for performance reasons.
