The Chart uses an HTTP handler to store images to memory or a file.

UseImageLocation

The Chart stores the image in a temporary file at the specified location.

The ImageStorageMode enumeration is used with the ImageStorageMode property of the Chart control. It defines the type of storage that will be used when the chart is rendered as an image.
