SiteMapNodeCollection.OnValidate Method

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Performs additional custom processes when validating a value.

Namespace: System.Web
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnValidate (
	Object^ value
)
protected void OnValidate (
	Object value
)
protected function OnValidate (
	value : Object
)

Parameters

value

The SiteMapNode to validate.

Exception typeCondition

ArgumentException

value is not a SiteMapNode.

-or-

value is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Notes to Implementers The OnValidate method allows implementers to define processes that must be performed when executing the standard behavior of the underlying ArrayList object. By defining the OnValidate method, implementers can add functionality to inherited methods without having to override all other methods. Specifically, the OnValidate method is called anytime the SiteMapNodeCollection collection is used via a reference to an IList interface.
